..these are incredible lizards. A subspecies of the monitor lizard, they are endemic to the African country of Tanzania. They can reach up to seven feet in total length (including tail). Even at this size they possess a calm temper as a pet. Though similar to other monitors, they need frequent handling to reduce hostility.
